| 1. How does RocketScore™ Work? |

RocketScore™ is based on our patent-pending artificial intelligence technology that analyzes the concepts presented in your essay using complex algorithms in order to predict how a human evaluator would have scored it.
Once an essay is submitted, RocketScore estimates what the essay would have gotten on an actual SAT, and generates a detailed score report. The score report provides the student with an overall score (on a scale from 2-12, rounded to the nearest 10th of a point), as well as an estimated SAT equivalent and 4 sub-scores which provide more insight into how the grade was determined.
RocketScore has been trained on hundreds of student papers scored by official SAT essay graders. RocketScore™ was programmed to learn which features of a student’s paper human graders tend to evaluate positively, and which features they tend to evaluate negatively. |
